This image of the dawn while passing through Ogunquit, Maine on the Amtrack Downeaster is composed of 12 individual shots. The 4 shots of the dawn were taken at 200mm and a shutter speed of 1.5 seconds while hand holding the camera close to the window. The 4 shots of the train seats and windows were taken at 70mm with a shutter speed of 2 seconds with the camera on a tripod across the aisle from the windows in the image. There were 4 more shots which I took with a shutter speed of .5 seconds with the auto focus set in the servo mode and the shutter set in the rapid fire continuous mode with the camera on a tripod. The 3 sets of four pictures were merged to create the final image, with the rapid fire images providing the grain in the dawn light.
