This image of the West Neck Harbor at Shelter Island, New York is composed of 18 individual shots taken at 200mm. I took them at sunrise, just as the mornings rays first hit the grass at the left in the picture. As I watched the sun break over the horizon, I got the feeling that the light was simply rolling along over the mist and the water until it bumped up and exploded against the grass.
