This image of a peony is composed of 7 individual shots taken at 100mm. My wife and I were staying at a bed and breakfast on the outskirts of Ithaca, New York. When I came down early in the morning, it had just stopped raining and there was a heavy mist. This peony, which was in the garden next to where we were staying, had dropped some of its petals during the night, and seemed a great illustration of the circular nature of life, death and renewal.
