This image of the of the Saco River is composed of 14 individual shots taken at 200mm. It had rained nearly two inches the day before, and the Saco was raging, although when I happened to go back a few days later, it was even higher–you could not distinguish the various falls at all–it looked like one continuous rapids. I shot this image after taking a tour of the mill buildings in Biddeford, which contain about 1.5 million square feet of vacant space. The River and its surroundings seemed a good metaphor for the entire situation.
