This image of a pole and sky is composed of 20 individual shots taken at 200mm just after sunrise. There is an André Kertész image, Lost Cloud, in which a small cloud floats in an otherwise blank sky to the left of the side of a skyscraper in New York City. When I saw this red/orange cloud floating amidst an mostly gray sky, it reminded me of the Kertész image, however given that this was the Maine coast, a pole had to fill in for the glass and steel building.
