This image of the forest floor in Acadia National Park is composed of 8 individual shots taken at 70mm. I love moss, but it is hard to photograph given its color, texture and usual location. In this scene, however, the softness of the moss accentuated the calm peacefulness of the forest, and brought the green of the background into the heart of the image. In the defuse light of this overcast day, its texture was a nice addition to the hard surfaces of the wood and stone.
