This image of winter birch trees on Haigis Parkway in Scarborough, Maine is composed of 9 individual shots taken at 250mm. I noticed this stand of trees while driving toward Route 1 on the way to Cape Elizabeth. I had to drive down a private road to get to them, but I liked the way their thin trunks had been bent by the snow, and their branches were red with buds on this late February morning.
